Like many of us, I’ve been through a lot of difficult times. Serious medical issues and injuries.  Heartbreaking loss and tragedy.  Homelessness.  And even though I’ve fallen into dark despair more than once, what always brings me back is the love and generosity from others, including total strangers.  And when we receive that pure kindness, we need to pass it on.  By reaching out a giving hand.  Offering a sympathetic voice of hope and encouragement.  Standing up for those who can’t.  There is nothing more important.  Nothing more worthy of our time. This is when we know what truly matters and that each and every life is a gift worth sharing.
